Who: initially we decided that the early adopters of K4K would probably be Kairos graduates. they know the adult programme and would understand the concepts. this is not to say that you have to have done the course, just that it is likely , initially, to be done and promoted by 25,000 graduates first!!
Where and when : we felt that saying it could be done anywhere, in anysize group, was too ambitious. again initially, we think the majority of situations will be covered by the following scenarios:
  • regular Sunday schools - with realistically only up to an hour and a half's programme. this could take two forms
  • christian schools
  • maybe at an intensive designed for families

A SWOT analysis suggests the following:
Strengths
  • basic work has already been done
  • has a Kairos 'standard' to aspire to!
  • there are Kairos organisations already established that could be used to promote K4K
Weaknesses
  • too wordy
  • too North American
  • NO DVDs
  • powerpoints - too full, and not child friendly
Opportunities
  • 25,000 Kairos graduates
  • chance for these graduates to be part of making some of the DVDs where we have gaps (suggest we have a competition where people put together DVD clips and the prize is money towards an airfare to the International Consultation next year.)
Threats
  • neglect - has not had an active group of people working on it until recently (Thanks go to Ana in Christchurch)
